Documents are processed locally
Create Fillable is operated by Roger Gajraj. When you select a PDF, your browser reads, displays and edits it on your device. Automatic field placement, page-content detection, field editing and PDF export also happen locally.
Modern Word .docx files are converted locally using a browser-based LibreOffice engine. The engine software is downloaded from Create Fillable, but your Word document is not sent to Create Fillable, LibreOffice, The Document Foundation or an external conversion service.
Images you add are read locally and included in the exported PDF locally. The app does not intentionally receive or store your documents, document contents, PDF form values, inserted text or images, finished exports, or document filenames through analytics events.
Local processing and website analytics are separate. If you allow analytics, measurement requests can occur while the editor is open. Our analytics configuration is designed not to include document bytes, the PDF canvas, form values, filenames or document text.
Temporary Word-conversion recovery
Word conversion uses your browser’s IndexedDB and session storage to move the original Word file and converted PDF between conversion and editing pages. The source Word file is normally removed after conversion, and the converted PDF is normally removed after it opens successfully.
Recovery records are treated as expired after one hour. Expiration is checked when Create Fillable next accesses its local conversion storage, so expired data may remain on the device until you revisit the app, retry a conversion or clear the browser’s site data. This storage stays in the device and browser profile where conversion began.
Information we may receive
Website and security logs
Our website and hosting infrastructure may create access or security logs containing an IP address, request date and time, requested page or asset, response status, referring page, browser, operating system and device information. We use these logs to operate and secure the website and diagnose faults. They do not intentionally contain your document or form values.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive the email address, name, message and attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to answer your question, investigate a problem, handle a privacy request or protect the service.
Do not email confidential documents or unredacted personal information unless necessary and you are comfortable doing so. Browser details and a redacted screenshot are normally enough for support.
Privacy-restricted analytics
Google Analytics and Google Ads
If you allow analytics, Create Fillable uses Google Analytics to understand visits and Google Ads measurement to determine whether advertising leads to successful PDF exports. Google may receive the page visited, referring source, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, cookies or similar identifiers, and general interaction information.
When an export succeeds, the app sends a pdf_export_success event and a Google Ads conversion signal. These do not include the document, filename, field names, form values or exported PDF.

PostHog session replay
If you allow analytics, Create Fillable uses PostHog to understand usability problems. The current replay configuration masks all input values and visible page text, blocks the PDF page area, does not record PDF canvas pixels, network request headers or bodies, and does not capture JavaScript exceptions.
PostHog can record mouse movement, click locations, page transitions and general session layout. It may receive page URLs, timestamps, browser and device details, approximate location, anonymous identifiers and session metadata. Create Fillable currently has no user accounts or user-identification flow.
Masking occurs in the browser before replay information is sent. Read PostHog’s privacy policy and session-replay privacy controls.
Cookies and browser storage
Create Fillable may use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies or similar identifiers, PostHog cookies or browser storage for anonymous session measurement, and session storage and IndexedDB for local Word-conversion recovery.
Analytics and advertising measurement remain disabled unless you allow them. Choosing essential storage only does not prevent ordinary local PDF editing. Blocking IndexedDB, JavaScript, WebAssembly or other required browser features may prevent Word conversion or recovery.
How limited information is used and shared
We use website, analytics and contact information to operate and improve Create Fillable, measure advertising performance, diagnose errors, prevent misuse, respond to requests and meet legal obligations. Depending on your location, the legal basis may be consent, performance of our agreement, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or compliance with law.
Information may be processed by DigitalOcean for website hosting, Google for analytics and advertising measurement, PostHog for analytics and session replay, and email providers used for support messages. We may also disclose limited information when required by law, to investigate abuse, protect users or defend our rights, or as part of a business transfer.
We do not sell document contents. Some privacy laws may treat advertising or analytics identifiers as “sharing” or targeted-advertising activity even when no money changes hands.
Review DigitalOcean’s privacy policy for information about its practices.
Retention, international processing and security
Local conversion data is controlled through your browser and handled as described above. Hosting logs, support messages and analytics information are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their stated purpose, subject to security needs, legal obligations and provider account settings. Aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies someone may be kept longer.
DigitalOcean, Google, PostHog and email providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different privacy protections. They may use contractual or other lawful transfer safeguards where required.
Create Fillable uses HTTPS and limits document handling to the browser by design. No internet service, browser or storage system is completely secure. Keep an original backup and avoid sensitive work on an untrusted or shared device.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, clear createfillable.com’s site data to remove local conversion records, use Google’s opt-out and advertising controls, and decline or withdraw non-essential analytics consent where that control is provided.
Depending on your location, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of personal information we control, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a local privacy authority.
Because documents remain on your device, we cannot retrieve, inspect or remotely delete them. We may need enough information to verify and locate an analytics or support record before fulfilling a request.
Children, external links and policy changes
Create Fillable is not directed specifically to children, and we do not knowingly request children’s personal information. A minor who cannot legally consent to online services should use Create Fillable only with the supervision and permission of a parent, guardian, school or other responsible adult.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Their content, availability, security and privacy practices are outside our control.
We may update this policy when the product, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
